Detailed Itinerary
Chandigarh to Manali
Start early from Chandigarh and drive through the scenic Kullu Valley to reach Manali. The route takes you through pine forests, apple orchards, and along the Beas River. Check into your hotel in Manali and attend the trip briefing session. Overnight in Manali.
Manali to Jispa
Begin your high-altitude journey by crossing the famous Rohtang Pass (13,050 ft). Drive through the stunning Lahaul Valley with its barren landscapes and Buddhist influence. Cross Baralacha La Pass (16,040 ft) before descending to Jispa. Overnight camping or guesthouse in Jispa.
Jispa to Leh
Continue your journey to Leh, crossing several high-altitude passes including Nakee La and Lachulung La. Drive through the famous Gata Loops (21 hairpin bends) and stop at the confluence of Zanskar and Indus rivers. Arrive in Leh by evening. Rest and acclimatize. Overnight in Leh.
Leh to Kargil
Begin your return journey from Leh to Kargil. Visit the famous Magnetic Hill where vehicles appear to defy gravity, and explore the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh. Cross Fotu La Pass and enjoy the changing landscapes as you descend towards Kargil. Overnight in Kargil.
Kargil to Srinagar
Continue from Kargil to Srinagar, crossing the strategic Zoji La Pass (11,575 ft). Stop at Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, and pay respects at the Kargil War Memorial. The landscape gradually transforms from barren mountains to the lush green Kashmir Valley. Arrive in Srinagar by evening. Overnight in Srinagar.
Srinagar to Chandigarh
Start early for the long drive back to Chandigarh via Jammu. The route takes you through the scenic Kashmir Valley, over the Banihal Pass, and through the Jammu plains. Arrive in Chandigarh by late evening, marking the end of your epic Ladakh expedition.
