This trip involves travel at high altitudes (up to 15,000 ft) and some optional short treks. A moderate level of fitness is required. We recommend consulting with your doctor before the trip, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness is a risk at elevations above 8,000 ft. Our itinerary is designed for proper acclimatization, but it's important to stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and inform your guide immediately if you experience symptoms like headache, nausea, or shortness of breath.
Weather Conditions
Weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable. During summer (June-September), daytime temperatures range from 15-25°C, dropping to 0-10°C at night. Always be prepared with layers, even in summer. Sudden rainfall or snowfall is possible at high passes.
Photography
Spiti Valley offers incredible photography opportunities. Remember to ask permission before photographing locals or inside monasteries. Bring extra batteries and storage cards, as charging facilities may be limited in remote areas.
