Essential Information
Transportation
All transportation will be in comfortable 4x4 vehicles suited for Kazakhstan's varied terrain. Some roads in the national parks may be rough, but our vehicles are designed to handle these conditions. Long drives are broken up with rest stops at scenic viewpoints and local villages.
Weather Conditions
Kazakhstan has a continental climate with significant temperature variations. Summer (June-August) sees daytime temperatures of 25-35°C but can drop to 10-15°C at night in the mountains. Spring and autumn are mild with occasional rainfall. Expect significant temperature drops in the evening, especially in mountain and desert areas.
Language & Currency
The official languages are Kazakh and Russian. English is limited outside major cities, but your guide will translate. The currency is the Kazakh Tenge (KZT). Credit cards are accepted in cities but bring cash for rural areas. ATMs are available in Almaty and other large towns, but not in remote regions.
Visa Requirements
Kazakhstan offers visa-free entry for many nationalities for up to 30 days, including citizens from the US, EU, UK, and India. However, regulations can change, so check the latest requirements before traveling. We provide visa support documents if needed. All visitors should have at least six months of passport validity.
